Toyota of Rockwall has provided generous support to Helping Hands by conducting their annual “North vs. South” Pack the Pantry food drive with Rockwall ISD, employees and customers each year. Last year, Toyota of Rockwall raised almost 9,300 pounds of food by leveraging the friendly rivalry between Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School and challenging each school to best the other by contributing the most food.
Toyota of Rockwall’s General Manager, Charles Pankey has continued the fun competitive theme of the food drive again this year. Two large Tundra’s are displayed in the showroom, one decorated red for the Rockwall-Heath Hawks, and the other decorated orange for the Rockwall Yellowjackets, and both are decked out with lots of school spirit gear.
For the past few months they have challenged each side to bring in food donations and the trucks are now overflowing! This Saturday, November 18th, at 2pm, they will weigh the food, and the school with the most will win the challenge! Last year Rockwall-Heath High School won by a small margin. Come out to see who will win this year.
“Our team is thrilled to be able to help Rockwall Helping Hands. At Toyota of Rockwall we are committed to making our community a better place. We look forward to working with Helping Hands on other great projects” said Barbara Jackson, co-owner along with her husband, Steve Jackson.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 18th at 2pm for the weighing of the food and a special check presentation!!
