Garland Behavioral Hospital provides mental health support and treatment services for adults age 18 and older. Our Medicare-certified facility offers inpatient and outpatient programs for adults struggling with clinical depression, anxiety, stress, substance use or aging issues. Adults who come to our Garland, Texas facility are often experiencing significant impairment in functioning at home, work or in the community due to mental health issues. Our programs seek to stabilize patients in crisis and give them the skills to manage their symptoms long-term for an improved quality of life.
Our staff, led by a Medical Director board-certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry, provides individualized, evidence-based treatment to people in need. The multidisciplinary treatment team is comprised of board-certified psychiatrists, masters-level therapists, social workers, dieticians, registered nurses, activity/recreation therapists, and licensed chemical dependency counselors who collaborate to provide targeted, specific care for each patient. Our staff is now certified in Dementia Care through the Crisis Prevention Institute to provide evidence-based care for our older patients. For patients who are suffering from addiction and mental health issues, we also offer dual-diagnosis treatment, complemented by support group meetings like Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous® (AA).
Our programming includes Adult Psychiatric Inpatient with separate units for males and females, Older Adult Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient programs.
