About Us

My love for chocolates all started when I was a young girl. My aunt would take me to a local family owned chocolate shop for the holidays. This was such a special treat for me. Sometimes we would have to wait in line for an hour just to get some of these specialty chocolates. As you walked into the shop the smell would over take all of my senses. It was heavenly! I remember seeing the workers in the back hand crafting all the chocolates and as I watched, I took it all in. It was so special to see and such a memorable moment in my life. I knew that when I got older this is what I wanted to do. As years passed I was an art student but never forgot my passion for the love of chocolate making. So how was I going to incorporate the two? I left it in God’s hands. Now thirty years and three kids later and never giving up on my dream, Wickland’s Candies was created. I hope everyone that tries my chocolates tastes the love and time that goes into each handcrafted piece.
